Account Setup, Billing & Insurance Questions

  • What does it take for me to rent a unit from Metro? If we don’t have a relationship with you already, we ask that you fill out our credit application and return via email to Credit@MetroTrailer.com. We require a minimum of three business credit references. For companies that are located in States we operate out of (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Nevada) Company must be in business for a minimum of 3 years and have at least 10 trucks. For companies that are located in States that we do not operate in. They must be in business for a minimum of 5 years and have at least 30 trucks.
  • How much does the product I want cost? Product prices vary widely based on rental term, customization and availability. Please use our Quote Request Form or Call Us and we’ll get you a price right away.
  • Does Metro sell or finance this equipment? Though we are primarily a rental operation, we are willing to price a unit at a customer’s request. Call Us or use our Quote Request Form and explain what you are looking for and we’ll get back to you.
  • What insurance requirements do you have? We require insurance coverage on all road equipment and must have a valid certificate of insurance on file before releasing equipment. Metro Trailer must be listed as an additional insured and loss payee on your policy for automobile liability with a $1,000,000 minimum as well as your General Liability policy with a $1,000,000 minimum.
  • What are your billing terms? Our standard terms are Net 30.  Many road trailers are billed in arrears, so you will get the first invoice after you have had the trailer for 30 days.
  • Do you require a deposit? This will be determined once your application has been processed. Depending on the equipment ordered (new equipment, customizations, etc.) and our familiarity with your company, we may or not need a deposit to begin the rental.
  • When do you begin billing me rent? We begin billing as soon as the equipment is in your posession.
  • Do you prorate your rent? We can always prorate your fist month to sync multiple rentals by request.  Monthly rentals can be setup multiple ways – please let us know up front if you would like a prorated rate.
  • I have equipment like yours that I want to sell or trade in. Does Metro buy used equipment? Occasionally Metro does buy used equipment. Call Us if you are interested in selling something we may want to own.
  • How do I get my trailer(s)? You can pick up your equipment or have it delivered by our expert delivery team.

  • I need specialized equipment I don’t see listed on this site. Can Metro help me? There are a vast number of specialized trailer options and while Metro does not carry every variation we will do everything we can to provide you with the equipment you need or point you in the right direction. Contact Us or use our Quote Request Form for more information.
  • Do your trailers come equipped with satellite tracking? We can provide you with satellite tracking equipment from skybitz by request.
  • What if I have a maintenance issue? Our trailers are Net Maintenance.  The Customer is responsible for all maintenance of road and cartage equipment including servicing and replacing tires and brakes.  If you have a specific issue come up, Contact Us and we’ll be happy to help.
  • What do I do when I need to return my equipment? Equipment needs to be returned to the location from which it was picked up or we can transport the equipment for you for a fee.  Contact Us to make arrangements for equipment return.
